Julius Caesar
Similar to “Romeo & Juliet” I wanted to depict the essence of these stories through collaged imagery of older paintings. The imagery on each cover was meant to provide the reader a hint of what type of story they were about to enter. The biggest difference was that I was trying to express a sense of violence, loss and eventual passage to a more peaceful place. This is why the view of the book cover is looking up at the blue sky filled with circling clouds, with Caesar being attacked on the edges of the cover.
